Tyra does something worth reading about!

If you're like me, you think Tyra Banks is completely annoying. I do like watch Top Model some but I usually fast-forward past Tyra trying to act refined (and sounding completely fake) so that I don't have to listen to her. I've made it my mission to never watch her talk show as well. She finally did something worth writing about!

If you're not aware already, Top Model had a transgendered contestant on the latest installment of the show. "Isis" King, born Darrell Walls, was first portrayed on the show in the previous cycle in a photo shoot that featured homeless women. She was so good in that shoot that the producers of the show brought her into the competition to compete for a spot in the finals. She eventually was the fifth contestant to be eliminated but it had nothing to do with her "hidden" attribute - she had lost her sparkle as the competition and the other girls broke her down emotionally. Although she didn't last past week 5, she made a major impact on the show and on television as a whole.

On this coming Tuesday's installment of the Tyra Banks Show, Tyra presents King with a major gift: gender reassignment surgery. King hadn't yet had the surgery because she could not afford the $30,000 price tag. She wouldn't allow photos of her as a male to be used for Top Model but they will air those photos on Tuesday's show.
