American Idol Top 10 : Daddy's Coming Home

Let me start this results recap by asking a question : Does anyone else think they are lip syncing the opening numbers on the results show? I mean, come on ... Megan and Lil do NOT sound that good. Even others (Matt!) look and sound like they aren't really singing. Hmm....

I would love to know why we have to have a one-hour results show. The majority of the hour was Ruben, Joss Stone, Smokey Robinson and Stevie Wonder performing. What the hell has happened to this show? It USED to be about the contestants ...

Ok. Time for the results.

First, I have to say I was not shocked to see that Megan was safe. Come on people - you know you need to cast more votes than the people at VoteForTheWorst.com. They are they only reason Megan wasn't out the first week like she should have been.

Secondly, I was a bit surprised to see Scott in the Bottom 3 but I was even more surprised to see Matt Giraud in the bottom. I really thought the audience was going to go ballistic and that Paula was going to cream herself. Maybe it is possible that people don't like Matt as much as Paula and Kara do? What a surprise! Unfortunately, Michael 'Hottie' Sarver was in the bottom for the second week in a row.

In the end, Scott was safe first and then Ryan announced that my hottie is going home. Yes, Ryan - none of us believe that the "save" will be used on anyone other than Danny, Adam or Lil (maybe Allison). The judges can stop pretending like any of the early losers have the remotest chance of being saved - especially when Simon announces the night before that the booted contestant could never win the competition.
