Just when it looked like it was certain that Auburn was going to end up with the win, LSU's freshman quarterback, Jarrett Lee, woke up. Coach Les Miles made a big mistake putting Lee in at the end of the first half just when Andrew Hatch was playing well and the mistake cost LSU.
LSU was down 14-3 at halftime! In the second half, LSU came out strong but before long Hatch was knocked out of the game with a mild concussion. Even the announcers groaned at the idea that Lee would be finishing out this game. What a difference halftime made! Lee came out and completed his first pass... and then his second... before long, LSU had scored a touchdown. The game was back and forth but LSU managed to pull out a 26-21 win in a hostile Auburn stadium. Considering Lee started out 0-5 passing and 0 yards of offense in the first half, he ended up with 11-22 passing and 182 yards in the 2nd half - that's an amazing turnaround. It was definitely a team effort as three different Tigers scored touchdowns but I'd give the game ball to Charles Scott who rushed for 132 yards against a stellar Auburn defense.
GEAUX TIGERS!!!
