Since I'm in France, I get to see a lot of rugby on tv and I really enjoy watching, although I get confused between league and union.

Grrrrrr I hate not having rugby on TV here. As for League/Union - they have different rules usually. The origins of the difference of the two is actually quite interesting. The 'league' players were originally working class and the 'union' were seen as upper class. Some still look at it that way today.
