If you haven't heard, Natasha Richardson passed away Wednesday. She had been taking a beginner skiing lesson at a resort 80 miles northwest of Quebec when she fell and hit her head. At first, they thought she was fine - she was talking and laughing right away. An hour later, she complained of a headache and was taken to a hospital. In no time at all, she slipped into a coma and later that day was declared brain-dead. She was only 45.
If you're not familiar with Richardson, she was a Tony-awarding winning actress and was born into an acting family. She was the daughter of Vanessa Redgrave and the wife of actor Liam Neissen. Known for work on Broadway (she won the Tony for Cabaret), most Americans will remember her best as the mom in the 1998 remake of The Parent Trap, which made Lindsay Lohan a star.
I think it is fair to say she will be greatly missed.
