The LSU Tigers defeated the Texas Cowgirls Longhorns 11-4 tonight to capture the 6th College World Series Championship in program history. The Tiger capped off an amazing season in which they not only won this title but they also won the SEC regular season and SEC tournament titles as well.

It was only fitting that Louis Coleman, the unquestionable heart of this team, struck out the side in the bottom of the 9th to secure the victory. What a way to redeem himself after a rough outing in game 1.

The Tigers finished the season with a 56-17 record.
