The "Jeff Archuleta Story" From Jimmy Kimmel Live

What do you get when you cross a Mormon father, a teen singing sensation and a hooker? Why it's Jeff Archuleta, father of American Idol's David Archuleta. If you haven't heard, he got busted in a massage parlor about to get a "happy ending" to his massage. Plus, he admitted to having done the dirty deed there several times before. Well, here is his story starring Scott Baio. Enjoy.

Papa Archuleta Caught Trying To Get Happy Ending

Is David Archuleta's father trying to kill his son's career? Last year, he was banned from backstage during American Idol for being a nightmarish stage dad. This time, he has tarnished his son's happy ending by trying to get one himself ... in a massage parlor!

This isn't something that just happened but it is just now reaching the media. Back in January, Jeff Archuleta was caught during a raid at the Queens of Reiki massage parlor in Midvale, Utah. Apparently, police determined that the business was operating without a business license and ordered a raid on the location where they found only one client ... Papa Archuleta.

According to Detective Sgt. John Salazar of the Midvale Police Dept., “he was just finishing up in suite number one. I sent two of the officers in and the male was on his stomach on the table with a masseuse in lace underwear.”

Archuleta even admitted to having received sexual favors from the parlor after finding an ad on Craigslist. His lawyer argued that he was only there for legitimate massage therapy for his back. Um ... He admitted to receiving sexual favors! Kind of hard to deny something he already admitted and plead no contest to in court.

I wonder what the Mormon church has to say about this! And they think that gays are the ones trying to destroy the 'sanctity' of marriage. Look at their own church members' actions!

More Adam Lambert News!

I know some of y'all are Adam Lambert fans so I'm passing this information on to y'all.

A source at RCA records has said that Adam has begun working with RedOne, who is the man behind many of Lady GaGa's hits and the renewed interest in "glam rock."

Not bad considering he didn't even win Idol!

Also, it has been said that his debut album will be a "Queen-inspired" sound that goes beyond anything he did on American Idol.

Sounds like one awesome album!

Three Idols Sign Record Deals

For the first time in American Idol history, three different contestants have signed with 19 Entertainment.

Each season, the winner of the show gets a deal with 19 Entertainment - the company of Simon Fuller and Simon Cowell. Back in Season 2, both Reuben Studdard and runner-up Clay Aiken signed with the company. After a close vote in the finale, the company wanted to see how the two singers would compare with each other when their first single and records were released. Although he didn't win Idol, Clay dominated in both categories and went on to have Billboard's #1 single of the year with This Is The Night.

It was announced last week that Kris Allen had signed a record deal with 19 Entertainment and will release on Jive Records. It was later announced that runner-up Adam Lambert had also signed with 19 Entertainment but will release on RCA records. Today it was announced that 4th place finisher (and last female eliminated) Allison Iraheta will join the two boys at 19 Entertainment and like Kris, her album will be released on the Jive label.

Idol producer Simon Fuller said, "we can only imagine how far this special girl can continue to blossom in the years ahead."

RCA/Jive Label Group chairman and CEO Barry Weiss added, "Her bluesy, powerful voice, spunky attitude, and edgy star power immediately captivated us and it didn't matter where she ranked on Idol, we knew we wanted her to join our amazing crop of young talent at Jive."

All three albums are scheduled to release sometime this fall. Like with season 2, it will be interesting to see which singer fares the best. This is the first time that three contestants from one season have signed on with 19 Entertainment.

Who do y'all think will have the best debut?

Adam Makes It Official!

Anyone else find it hilarious that everyone is talking about Adam Lambert but not Kris Allen? Kris just signed his record deal with 19 Entertainment/Jive Records but Rolling Stone managed to push that out of the way for Adam's 'coming out'. Kris may become the most irrelevant Idol winner since Taylor Hicks. Something tells me that the Kris-Adam situation is going to end up just like Reuben-Clay ... with the runner-up dominating the winner post-Idol.

After much speculation, Adam Lambert finally came out of the closet. Well, I don't think he was ever really IN the closet but for some reason, people seemed to need him to say it. Why it matters, I'm still not sure ... but you know people like to know everything about everyone. Click here to see the full Rolling Stone article.

Lambert to Front QUEEN???

Don't get your panties in a twist y'all.

He isn't ... YET.

Queen's lead guitarist Brian May told Rolling Stone, "it's not like we, as Queen, would rush into coalescing with another singer just like that. It isn't that east. But I'd certainly like to work with Adam. That is one amazing instrument he has there."

He also said he is "hoping to have a meaningful conversation with [Adam] at some point."

Anyone else excited about the possibility of a collaboration between the two or even them joining forces?? Could be bigger than Daughtry!

Can We Really Celebrate The Ending of Idol?

I know that title sounds odd ... but I have some thoughts about the final voting on American Idol.

First off, I'm happy for Kris.

Did he deserve to win? Not if we're basing it on performance, star quality or versatility.

For starters, Kris benefited from the website Vote For The Worst telling their readers to vote for Kris - only because they didn't want Adam to win.

Secondly, I was very disappointed when someone told me they were voting for Kris solely for the reason that they didn't want the "faggot" to win. They told me they were Christians and therefore had to make sure the Christian won. Who's to say that Adam isn't a Christian? Has Adam actually verified the gossip going around about his sexuality? Heck this person hadn't even voted for Idol before - and there are many more out there like this person.

What hurt the most is that this is NOT how a Christian should behave. Why are there so many who try to justify their hate by saying, 'I'm a Christian." Funny, I have read the Bible and I don't remember seeing where it says that we should discriminate or hate other people.

The silver lining in Kris winning is that Adam will not have to sing that horrible song again. That single could kill Kris Allen's career before it even begins. Also, Adam won't have to worry about 19 Entertainment and the producers of Idol screwing with his image. Now he will be able to sign with a label that is going to allow Adam to be Adam.

That is worth Adam coming in second. I can't wait!

American Idol Finale : Return of the Idol Rejects

In a way, the last episode is kind of sad as it marks the end of the season, it is just plain sad because of the rejects we are forced to listen to. We voted them off for a reason!

The show started off with a montage of each judge. They showed some of Paula's most drunken moments; Randy being his usual ignorant self; Kara's love of the words 'sweetie' and 'honey'; and for some reason, Simon's hearing problem. That was three minutes I will never get back.

First massacre of the night was Pink's So What ... oddly enough it wasn't as big a hot mess as I expected. Although, it would have been much better had they given a big solo part to Allison Iraheta.

That was followed by a performance of Permanent by David Cook. I'm not a big fan of his but I thought it is very cool of him to be releasing the live performance to I-Tunes for charity. All proceeds from the song will go to ABC Squared to help find a cure for brain cancer, which his brother recently died from.

Ryan then presented the first "Golden Idol" for "Outstanding" Male from the auditions. No surprise that it went to Nick Mitchell aka Normund Gentle. Mitchell then treated the audience to an encore of And I am Telling You. That boy is hilarious, people!

He also gave the "Outstanding" Female to Tatiana Del Toro. Ya know, she may be annoying as hell but at least the girl can sing. I'd preferred her in the finals over Megan and Jasmine.

For Best Attitude, they had Katrina aka Bikini Girl come out on stage in an even skimpier bikini. Ryan said he would ask what's new, but he already could see what is new ... her obvious boob job. Then we had to suffer through her singing Vision of Love again. At least this time, Kara DioGuardi came out in the middle and sang the hell out of the song ... and revealed herself in a bikini as well.

My eyes still hurt.

Then we started the duets. First up was Queen Latifah and Lil Rounds singing Cue The Rain. Why couldn't Lil sing that good during the competition? I wouldn't have slammed her so hard!

The next collaboration was Jason Mraz with Alexis Grace and Anoop Desai singing I'm Yours. That would have been much better if they muted Alexis and Anoop.

Then we had the unusual duet of Kris Allen and Keith Urban, singing Kiss A Girl. Does that mean they are going to try to push Kris as a country artist? I hope not since he is NOT a country singer.

We then had to endure the Idol females singing Fergie's Glamorous. Am I the other person who thought that Megan Joy looked like a hooker? I'm not sure what was worse ... her outfit or her singing. That song led into an appearance of Fergie to join the girls singing Big Girls Don't Cry. After that, the rest of Black Eyed Peas came out and performed their smash hit, Boom Boom Boom.

The next duet was kind of weird. Allison teamed up with Cyndi Lauper to sing Time After Time. Allison sounded fine on it but was Cyndi on something? I didn't quite understand what she was trying to do.

Danny Gokey was up next with Lionel Richie's Hello and then Richie joined him on stage for Just Go and All Night Long. SURPRISE! Lionel Richie just released a new album. What a shocker. Oh ... Karaoke Gokey proved he still can't dance. Surprisingly, though, he actually sounded good tonight! He was another one who was remarkably better tonight than when they were still in the competition.

Perhaps the best duet of the night was when Adam Lambert started off with Beth and then teamed with KISS to sing Detroit Rock City and Rock and Roll All Night. He showed once again just how big a star he was going to be because he out-shined KISS ... and that is really hard to do.

Next up was Carlos Santana who performed Black Majic Woman with Matt Giraud. That was followed up by a ear-punishing rendition of Smooth by all the Idols. Anyone able to tell me what the hell Jorge Nunez was trying to do while he had his one solo moment of the evening? I couldn't tell if he was trying to act sexy or if he was having some kind of seizure.

The next performance was the most disturbing of the night. Who the hell decided they should book Steve Martin to do his horrible banjo playing for the show? Poor Michael Sarver (SWOON!) had to sing with him ... and Megan Joy. The bitch can't perform ... why give her a duet to do? Jasmine didn't get one ... Megan didn't need to!

The girl was so bad that Steve Martin looked as if he had to take a shit during her performance. She couldn't even get the timing right.

I felt horrible for my Hottie. I'll make him feel better ...

The next massacre performance was the boys doing If You Think I'm Sexy followed by Rod Stewart singing Maggie Mae. I loved the older songs of Rod Stewart's but damn he is way past his prime.

The final performance was Kris and Adam teaming up to do We Are The Champions ... with QUEEN! Definitely a highlight for me. Oh, and Adam clearly out-shined Kris once again.

Oh ... the winner. Yeah. Kris won. I'm not happy about that but I will write another posting about that.

So, another season of American Idol has finished. We now just get to wonder if there will even be a next season given all the judge drama that has been going on ...

American Idol Top 3 Results

Well, my dream of a Gokey-free finale on Idol has come true! The only bad thing about him going is that once again we had to see multiple clips about his deceased wife. Do we really need to keep being reminded of that?

Thank you viewers for sending him back to the karaoke bar he came from and sparing us three identical, headache-inducing songs next week.

Once again, the results show had less to do with the Idols and more to do with crappy non-Idol performances. I won't speak ill of the kid who sang the song I couldn't understand the words to because I don't want to be struck by lightning.

I will say, however, that Katy Perry needs to have her 15 minutes of fame to end quickly. Does anyone else think she is secretly a drag queen?

And we had another crappy performance by a former contestant. Jordin Sparks showed again why her season sucked and why Melinda Doolittle should have won.

So .... Adam or Kris, y'all?

Lambert Endures Hetero Attack!

During Adam's hometown visit, he was attacked by a woman who decided to run half naked up onto the stage. Nothing scarier than being attacked by a screaming vagina ...

American Idol Top 3 : A Star, A Boy Next Door & The Over-Rated

Well, I think tonight we got exactly what I thought we would given the Top 3. Adam was a star, Kris was good and Gokey was a mess most of the night. This week's songs would be one from the judges and one chosen by the contestants themselves. In season's past, Simon has usually chosen the right song, Randy has been hit-or-miss and Paula ...

well, she's Paula. [insert your own Abdul joke here]

So here are my thoughts about each contestant ...

Danny Gokey - His first song was Dance Little Sister by Terrence Trent d'Arby courtesy of Paula. Once again, Paula missed with her song choice. She picked a song that the majority of the viewers who vote would know! To top it off, once again he sounded the same as every song this season. The biggest question mark about Gokey is his versatility - why would you pick a song like all the rest?

For his second song, he chose to do You Are So Beautiful by Joe Cocker. At least he can pick a song better than Paula. I was very worried before his performance. I was bracing for yet another raspy performance like every other one. The first part of the song sounded like an asthma attack. Once he hit the middle of the song, he sounded like the Danny I liked back in the auditions. I'm afraid I don't agree with Simon saying this was a "master class" in singing but at least it was better than the first song.

Oh, and Gokey ... DON'T DANCE.

Kris Allen - For his first song, he had Randy & Kara choosing his song. I actually wonder how they decided. Anyways, the song they chose was Apologize by One Republic. All season long, Kris has done a nice job of changing songs to fit his style. Until tonight. His version was basically a competent duplication of the original. For his second song, he chose Heartless by The Fray/Kanye West. Again, it was good.

Kris is basically the "boy next door" singer ... Attractive, familiar but not exciting. I think he will do well out on the real music world, especially if he decides to record Contemporary Christian music.

Adam Lambert - They saved the best for last. For his judge's pick, Simon chose One by U2. Perfect choice! He was the only one to take the judge's pick and really make it his own. That's what an artist is Kris and Gokey! I can't say just how incredible Adam is enough. Oh ... and how awesome was it when Simon booed Randy for being a dumbass? Priceless!

For his second song, Adam chose Aerosmith's Cryin'. I have just three words ...

AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME!

If Adam doesn't win this season, I demand a recount.

I hope to see Adam and Kris in the finale next week. Based on the season and tonight, Karaoke Gokey does NOT deserve to be in the finale. As for the finale, we should be seeing Adam Lambert as the new Idol.

American Idol Top 4 Results

First of all, let's just start tonight's recap with that craptastic performance of Paula Abdul. Like the single she did previously with Randy Jackson, the song was so digitally altered that you couldn't tell just how bad her voice really is. Does anyone else see the absurdity in the fact that she was lip syncing on a show that values the singing ability of its contestants? I know that many performers will lip sync because they want to concentrate on the choreography. I have news for Paula ... it wasn't worth concentrating on.

The funniest part of her performance was the line in her song that said, "I didn't mean to turn you on." Sorry Paula, there is no need to worry about turning anyone on. Except maybe Tivo.

While I could have done without the Daughtry performance, I will say that I fully enjoyed Gwen Stefani's performance. That said, I would like to know why only 10 minutes or so of the 60-minute results show is dedicated to the contestants. I remember when American Idol was ALL about the contestants. I don't know if any of y'all have seen X Factor (UK version) on YouTube but they actually devote the show to those performing. What a concept!

As for the actual results, I am not happy. Allison Iraheta was voted off tonight despite the fact that only she and Adam will probably have great careers after the show is finished. "Karaoke Gokey" is the one who should have been eliminated tonight. Oh, well. Let's just hope that Adam Lambert can beat out the other two.

For My American Idol Fans ...

American Idol Top 4 : Rockers And Those Other Guys

I know I was worried about Country week previously, but I was worried about Rock week even more. I knew that Adam and Allison would give stellar performances but I had a feeling that Danny and Kris would be mediocre. Plus, Slash was their mentor this week. I wasn't sure how great he would be at it, but it was certainly a step up musically from Jamie Foxx!

Another thing that worried me was the news that the Idols would be paired off and sing duets. At first, it excited me to think of Adam and Allison getting to perform together. Then I thought, nah... they'd never do that. I thought for sure they would split them up. Thank goodness they didn't! That made me wonder if Allison would be able to hold her own on that stage with Adam.

The Rockers

Adam Lambert - Whole Lot of Love by Led Zepplin - There are just so many different ways to say how awesome Adam is on stage. By far my favorite part was near the end when he sang without the band .... magical! Side note : I think Kara was having an orgasm as she yelled, "yes ... yes ... yes...!"

Allison Iraheta - Cry Baby by Janis Joplin - I don't care why Randy or Kara say ... Allison was incredible tonight. I wondered if she would wilt under the obvious pressure there would be tonight because this is her genre ... but she handled it like a seasoned performer. I think last week and this week, we're really getting to see just how well she can connect to a song and to the audience.

Adam/Allison Duet - Slow Ride by Foghat - I worried that Adam would completely overpower Allison. I was relieved that he didn't ... in fact, I think she out-shined HIM! I think the best way to describe their performance was as a game of 'oneupsmanship'. As Kara said, a true duet is where he person makes the other person need to be better - that's exactly what they did.

Those Other Guys

Kris Allen - Come Together by The Beatles - He was like Opie Taylor trying to be a rock star. He was trying too hard to be something he isn't. At one point, his face looked like it was melting because he was trying to 'look' and 'act' like a rocker. Could be going home this week.

Danny Gokey - Dream On by Aerosmith - Imagine Lionel Richie trying to be Steven Tyler ... that's how Danny sounded tonight. Was more like a night terror than a dream, that's for sure. Oh, and when he started that god-awful screeching? My dog started barking at the television. I'm hoping he gets the ticket home this week.

Kris/Danny Duet - Renegade by Styx - They managed to take an iconic rock song and make it boring. They are clearly NOT rock singers. Oh, and Paula actually thought they gave a powerful performance. Powerful? The only thing that was powerful was the regurgitation erupting in my stomach.

MY Bottom 2

Kris Allen
Danny Gokey

I wouldn't be surprised to see Allison in the Bottom but she definitely does not deserve to be. She has proven that she should join Adam in the finale. I honestly don't care if it is Kris or Danny who is eliminated as they both deserve to get the boot. If I had to choose, I would keep Kris over Danny ... I could stand listening to him sing two songs next week. Danny would just sing two songs that sound the same - painful.

Paula Abdul Comes Clean

Anyone who has watched American Idol has had the thought that Paula is on something. Remember last season when she critiqued a song that hadn't even been performed yet? Well, she probably doesn't.

Although she swears she never did an Idol taping under the influence, she admitted to the NY Post that she spent most of the past decade addicted to fentanyl. For those who don't know what fentanyl is, it is 80 times stronger than morphine. It is usually administered through duragesic patches you have to wear for 3 days at a time.

American Idol Top 5 Results

Well, tonight's results show was a strange one folks!

First, there were THREE performances.

First, Natalie Cole (who looked like a drag queen) was singing because her father was around during the time of the 'rat pack'.

We also had Taylor Hicks - who looks WAY better than he did when he won Idol.

Then, Jaime Foxx. WHY? Why did they have to torture us? Come on, anyone can sound good if you do enough to disguise the voice and lack of talent.

More surprising was this week's bottom three - Kris, Matt and Adam.

WHAT?!?!? ADAM?

Not only that, but Adam and Matt were the bottom two!

Thankfully, Matt got the boot.

I'm wondering if Adam was really in the bottom two or if they did it that way just for some drama and shock value ... Either way, Allison was safe!

American Idol Top 5 : Feelin' Good

I must admit that I was pretty nervous when they said tonight's theme was songs made popular by the 'Rat Pack'. For a couple of the performances, I was pleasantly surprised. For others, I wanted to hit mute.

In the 'Pack

Allison Iraheta - Someone To Watch Over Me - Allison picked one of my favorite songs and I loved the performance. Normally I agree with Simon, but I think he was mistaken about her performance. I still think she could be in danger of being eliminated but she doesn't deserve to be. Her performance was a 10 in my opinion.

Kris Allen - The Way You Look Tonight - Yawn. Good but way too safe. It was like a "cookie cutter" performance - good, but nothing special. He might be in trouble this week.

Adam Lambert - Feelin' Good - Awesome entrance. Best performer in the history of American Idol. Period.

Stuck In The Back

Danny Gokey - Come Rain Or Come Shine - Different week, still sounds like every other performance he has done. Let's be honest here. He isn't a great performer and he doesn't have the best vocals in the final five. Viewers fell in love with him because every time they showed him during the auditions, they mentioned his deceased wife. Over the past 4 or 5 weeks, he hasn't done much at all. Deserves to be in the Bottom 2, but I doubt that will happen.

Matt Giraud - My Funny Valentine - He tried to do way too much with the song as usual. He showed tonight why he never should have been saved two weeks ago. Now, Simon actually said his performance was brilliant. Um, is Simon drinking from Paula's cup? I think Paula has shown that she hears things the rest of us don't - and apparently Simon is beginning to as well.

My Bottom 3

Danny
Matt
Kris

Now, that's just my opinion. I am sure Allison will end up in the Bottom 3 even though she doesn't deserve to be in there. I think either Matt or Allison will get eliminated and I hope it is Matt. I wouldn't say no to losing Danny either though.

American Idol Top 7 : Double The Pleasure, Double The Tickets Home

First off, why the hell did they make these people dance?

They are SINGERS, not dancers. They proved that.

Well, a few have anyways.

The other thing I noticed in the beginning is something I noticed weeks ago but I wasn't sure I was right. If I am not mistaken, the Idols sang one song as a group. Ryan said they were going to do a medley. At least once before this week, Ryan has said that and they sing one song. Who is the moron causing this?

Let's just blame Paula. It's easier that way.

I think the most shocking part of tonight is that they just gave Lil the boot right away. Is it horrible of me that I kind of enjoyed that they did it that way?

I want to say right now that I am still mad that the judges saved Matt last week. Well, I was anyways. We almost lost Allison! I would also love to know how it was that Matt went from getting the lowest votes last week to not even in the bottom three tonight! Hmmmm ...

The best part of tonight? No more Anoop! That's right, he's gone everyone!

American Idol Top 7 (Again) : You Turned Paula into a Pool of Abdul

Doesn't the idea of a pool of Adbul just make you need to take Tums?

Yeah, me too.

Thanks to the stupidity of the judges, we were forced to listen to one more horrible performance than we would have. Note to judges : There is a reason Matt got voted off last week! Personally, the idea of several of these people doing disco songs made me want to run for a pair of earplugs.

Studio 54 Headliners

Allison Iraheta - Hot Stuff by Donna Summer - Other than Adam Lambert, Allison is the only true artist in the bunch. She took an iconic song and made it sound like she was the first one to perform it. Aesthetically speaking, she has never looked better. It's nice that they are finally helping her develop a style that shows just how beautiful she is.

Adam Lambert - If I Can't Have You by Bee Gees - Another week, another stellar performance. If he isn't in the finale, something is wrong with the world.

Kris Allen - She Works Hard For The Money by Donna Summer - This is another iconic song from the disco era and it seemed like a strange choice by a male contestant. He took a huge risk and it really paid off. The only problem with Kris is what I've been saying all along - after the top 3 people, will voters remember him?

Danny Gokey - September by Earth, Wind & Fire - I actually predicted that this would be the song he would sing. That's my problem with him - he is too predictable. The other issue I have is that all his songs seem to sound exactly the same and that spark that made me like him during the audition episodes seems to be fading away. Can he get it back and make it to the finale like Paula predicted in week 1? (Of course, she usually predicts the one she wants to have relations with to make the finale each season ...)

Studio 54 Toilet Seat Liners

(Yes, you read that correctly)

Matt Giraud - Stayin' Alive by Bee Gees - There is no other performer or group who can sing this song the way the Bee Gees did. The judges wasted the save by keeping Matt in the competition last week. In an interview with Good Day LA, Simon said that he agreed to use the save because this week it would be Anoop in the bottom spot and no way would he save him. Um, here's a thought - DON'T USE THE SAVE! Bottom line, the judges made us listen to extra crap again this week.

Anoop Desai - Dim The Lights by Donna Summer - One word : Horrible. Please voters, save us from having to listen to him again.

Lil Rounds - I'm Every Woman by Chaka Khan - Once again, Lil chose a signature song of a diva. And once again, she stunk up the stage. First, she looked like a drag queen - and not even a good once. Secondly, someone should have told her that she didn't shave her pits well enough. Thirdly, Simon had it correct - she has been every woman, except herself. She has been a second (or third) rate diva impersonator. Lastly, I don't think it is a good sign when the BACKUP singers outshine the vocalist!

My Bottom Three

Anoop
Lil
Matt

I think it is pretty clear who the bottom three performers are. Please voters - don't let us down! On a note about the results show ... I hear we the displeasure of a former season reject. Oh boy. Another crappy performer who over-achieved on an earlier season. Please, pass me the liquor ...
